I really need some help here. I cannot figure out how to time align 2 subwoofers using the REW Impulse Response method. I can do it by ear and it sounds good, but I know it's not perfect. I read that using REW's timing reference is not accurate for subwoofers but the impulse response feature is handy for this. I need to time align the subs first, then get them to delay perfectly with the mains.

I've tried to do it and when I click on the impulse response tab it shows a dotted red line with my measurement. Is the red line supposed to be the point at which the measurement starts? It's really causing me many headaches. Please someone help me here.

Are you using a full-range speaker as the timing reference? If you do that I think you should be able to get the time delay of both subs and work out the difference.

I'm using an Elac B5 as a timing reference so no it's not full range. There is no option to choose full range speaker.

Full range as in frequency response, not single driver. The ELAC is fine.

Ok I understand that part so 10hz to 500hz? I hope I'm right about that. But then what? The times shown in System Delay are very different from the delay I have input into the Minidsp plugin. Do I zero the delay on the Minidsp before I measure? Then I've read I have to calculate the difference. I'm very confused.

Also, which box should I select after I do the measurement? Step Response or Envelope?

People on a forum can't see what you see, please post screenshots. You should be able to just view the impulse.
