I'm using the Minidsp 2x4HD for 2 Ways active speakers, plus a sub which is placed before the minidsp. I configured the 2x4 HD a pass-band filter for the 2 ways Boomer-Medium speaker, so that I eliminate the F<50Hz sent to the Boomer-Medium. Therefore, i need to place the sub before the minidsp.
as the minidsp has a latency at minimum of 3 mSec, I was wondering if this really matters for my ears, or if it is only a mathematical theoretical 'issue' for purists?
3 mSec=1 meter, and at the 50 Hz cross over freqency with the sub, the wave length is=7 meters (I'm French and not familiar with Inches :) ).
Can this phase shift really impact the listening and make the basses dirty?

3ms can make a difference. There's no point theorizing, you need to meaure the response. If it's flat (ish) then you're fine. :)

@ pogona06
Like John, I'd indeed recommend that you perform time-alignment.. Check out this simple app:
