Just curious, but why did you use Adobe Air instead of (say) Java or C#?

Simple: Because we like it. :-)
In the end, whichever language we choose, we'll never make everybody happy. You may like Java, C#, others would prefer some other language... Anyway, not something we'll change now that we have crossplatforms working for both Mac and Windows.
