Currently I am using a 2x8 minidsp on active 3 ways using the optical input - out of Audirvana on Mac osx. The signal on the inputs is maxxing out ie 0db.
I have adjusted the output settings to keep the amps from clipping, and using the 2v output setting to power amps.

I am also using the onboard volume control.

My question is, should the digital signal be reduced ie change the jumper to .9v input, or lower the levels on the digital input?

thanks;

The 0.9V/2.0V setting is for the analog inputs.

I'm not sure what the issue is exactly... is it clipping/distorted? Too much gain?

Murray,

Since your source is from the Mac, maybe just lower the level in the Mac OS if you don't want to overdrive... Just a thought.

The 0.9/2V is for the analog only as per John's post. No effects on Digital inputs.
