Is it possible to create our own plug ins from scratch. I really like working with BSS Soundweb and London BLU, and I was expecting the same kind of blank environment where I could use the inputs and outputs the way I wanted, while making sure I do not overload the DSP.

Is there a software that would allow that? Something like make your own plug ins?

Thanks

Also, I was wondering why the delay alignment capabilities were so short? I know it's probably because of the DSP limits, but still, it's very short.

Reason why I ask, is because I bought the unit to be able to optimize sound systems on a larger scale than a living room.

I mostly work in theatres, arenas and stadiums as a system engineer on large scale sound systems and am used to have time delays from 0 ms up to 1 second... what would be the maximum delay on a 2 x 4 balanced dsp?

Thank you.

@ Earthsound,

No, it's not possible to write your own plug-in. It's a fixed architecture and the process of writing plug-ins is only handled by us since it's a complex process. You need to be realistic and compare apple with apples here I think...

Comparing a BSS London blu with a 125MSRP miniDSP board, just doesn't do the math here. Complete different architecture, complexity miles away. :-)

What would be the maximum delay adjustment possible with a 2x4 balanced unit?

IS it possible to order custom plug ins then?
