Received my minidsp the other week. great!
Started my old PC and stared at the ugly win XP... Uuuuuuh. Oh no.
Usually I´m on the mac platform but I keep my old pentium 4 just for occasions like this, or when I have to update my Nokia.

I managed to get the PC to immediately recognize the board. Started the sotfware and made my first configuration, loaded it successfully to the minidsp ant tested it. It worked!

Wanted to adjust some EQ and once again connected the minidsp to my PC, now the board was not to be found, could not sync. Managed to do a factory restore from the 4way PEQ software but thats it. It would not load again, restarted the PC and tried to reconnect the board several times. I don´t know whats wrong here?

Is it possible to become a beta tester of the same plugin but for the mac? Every time I start the PC there is nothing but trouble and constant updates and I feel I don´t want to spent another second trying to search for faults on a PC.

Hows it going with the mac conversions?

Otherwise I´m psyched about this product!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!

:)

Just for fun I installed adobe .air and then installed the 4way PEQ plugin on my Macbook Pro, and it all runs! :)
But still the board does not show up on a mac. I know its not supposed, but I was thrilled that the software runs on OS X. That means that you can program and save on a mac, not just sync. right?

UncleBuck,

Our beta testing period is done as we're about to release the plug-ins for Mac version very soon. You're correct that you can load the software on Mac, but can't sync with a normal version. New plug-ins will include all the files required to run both on Mac and PC.

In the mean time, if you want to tweak your system on your PC, I'm guessing that maybe that PC is a bit old and facing one issue we've noticed with another community member. See the following post: www.minidsp.com/support/forum/8-software...cant-connect-to-dspq

Great news about upcoming Os X Support :)

I read the thread that you linked to, and tried to locate the program that you recommended to start first, I could not find such a program in the folder. Is there a difference since that user has a different plugin?

Still thrilled about the soundquality that first time that the DSP worked!! Wow!

Ok, maybe I didn't give enough info... :-)
If you left the default installation location, it should be \Program Files\MiniDSP
Now, in that folder, there should be a subfolder with your plug-in name (MiniDSP-4way-PEQ)
Go to that folder and look for a minidsp.exe (executable file, with a blue icon under Windows).
Launch that miniDSP.exe and then launch "MiniDSP-4way-PEQ" file.

Hope this clarifies,

Will test the next week with audio.

Thanks!
