Hi there,

i need to change between different profiles in the audio plugin for my Mini DSP, so it's a bit annoying to open the plugin and load the needed xml-File manually. Is there a possibility to change profiles more comfortable for exammple with the command line, so i would be able to create a shortcut.

best regards

Perhaps a simpler solution would be for minDSP to remember the path to the profile files. It is rather annoying to have to navigate from the root folder when I want a profile, and my profiles are stored rather remotely from the root. After the first search, miniDSP DOES remember the path. Almost all programs seem to work this way, so the solution might not be that simple.

here here!

I AGREE.

I asked if it was possible for something similar......for me it would work if it could switch between the 4 profiles that are loaded into the 4 memory slots in the 2x8 MiniDSP.

I am using a car PC with a 800x600 screen and the plug in does not display correctly on the screen. I would love to have a second plug in that just switches between the 4 preset/programed profiles that works with a low resolution display screen.

Dear all,

The good news is that we actually do have a simple application (called DSP_Plug-in loader) which we'd be happy to distribute to you. :-)

This is a simple xml loader where you just use a simple socket programming command to call it and start the loading of the XML. You could put multiple xml into a folder, and just use the command ld xxx.xml where xxx is the name of the file. That might answer some of your needs...

PS: Note that this is for miniDSP 2x4 only. We don't have the same application for other software.

Well, sort of. When you load a profile through miniDSP 2x4 (my only experience),it calls up a standard Windows Explorer search box and is pointing to "Documents". My profiles are located in C:\bob\appdata\roaming\foobar\mystuff. Don't ask. That takes a lot of clicks to get there. Now, once I load a profile, minDSP remembers where it is and it's one click to load a new one. It is the initial search that is the PITA. From there it's just one click.

@ Jensen,

Just email us and we'll be happy to enable in your account.

@ Bob,

I understand what you mean now. I.e. remembering previous location (even after the PC was rebooted) of searches. I'm not sure if it's possible on the basic framework we're using. but we could investigate in future.

Probably not as EVERY 3rd party program I have points to Documents when they start. But, I can hope....
