Hi
I'm having problems syncing from the 2 wavy PEQ 2.1 plugin to the DSP 2x4 Rev B unit. As soon as I press the sync button the computer gives me the message - 'Loading configuration to the board. Please do not un-plug the board or close the application" it stays like until I force close. I'm using a mac mini powered by USB and power pack. I have opened the unit up and done a reset and the light flashes as it should, have reloaded to software but to no avail.
Mac software is 10.6.8. Could you please let me know what the solution might be to this problem.

Thanks
Chris

Chris,

We've just investigated this problem with this plug-in. Seems to be related to an App packaging problem for Mac Only. We'll get our engineers to look into it shortly. In the mean time, please use the 2.1 Advanced plug-in which was just enabled for your account. This will work fine.

Let us know if you have any questions.

I have just recieved a replacement minidsp, and I have the exact same configuration as Chris - except I'm using MacBook Pro instead of a mac Mini.
I also have the exact same problem, and wonder if you could also help me with the exact same temporary solution.
I would love to not see my second timewindow slip away.

I did try all sorts of sequences of resetting to no avail.

Thank you very much for the replacement I just recieved!

And thank you in advance for your continued support.

Kind regards, jakob Hede Madsen.

Thank you for the speedy response.

However it did not work under OS X, even with the advanced plug-in.
The minidsp does work when configured from Windows 7.
This is only inconvenient, I can move on.

AFAIR I was able to configure under OS X a few months ago, when I received my original minidsp.
The new new board is from march 2011, so it is probably of the same generation as my previous board.
So what has changed in the meantime?
My hunch is that something in the software environment on my OS X has changed, and that the problem is a new revision of Adobe Air.
Since the simple plug-in used to work, and the problem also occurs with the advanced plug-in, I don't think the problem is specific to the simple plug-in, but rather something more universal across plug-ins under OS X.

Kind regards, Jakob.

Hi Guys

The problem has not been resolved. I even tried it on a Mac Book Pro and could not get the dsp to work. I tried it on an iMac and could configure the dsp then transferred it to my system but got the full frequency going thru the sub rather than everything below 80Hz that was the cutoff. I don't know the dsp is faulty or is it something else.

Thanks in advance.

Mmmh, this is very odd indeed and we may need more info here if you guys need us to troubleshoot.

We have the following platforms here:
- MacMini i5 Lion 10.7.2 (no problem for connecting controlling with 2.1 Advanced)
- Macbook Pro 15" i7 running Lion 10.7.2 (no problem for connecting controlling with 2.1 Advanced)
- Macbook white (old mac) running Lion 10.7.2 (no problem for connecting controlling with 2.1 Advanced)

All units are running the latest Air downloaded separately from Adobe just today. All units control/discover units fine when running the Advanced plug-in.

Please export your system settings so we know what we're talking about here.
- OS version
- System profiler - > miniDSP code version
- Please make sure that you're running the "Advanced version" since the 2.1 PEQ version (not advanced) is still not running.

As for the full range, I wonder if it's a misconfiguration or mistake with the output numbering (i.e. see channel number on the output screen). You can send your configuration for review to us.

Hello everyone!

I use the minidsp kit 2x4 and the plugin Xover 2way PEQ 2.1, but I have the same problems of balk2117.
I use MacPro 15" with i5, and with Mac Os 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
When I press the sync button the computer gives me the message - 'Loading configuration to the board. Please do not un-plug the board or close the application" it stays like until I force close.

Please help me...I'm going crazy!!

Thanks,
Vito

@ Vito.

Sounds like you're using the 2.1 PEQ which has a bug for Mac platform. The 2.1 Advanced works fine for us on 3 different apple machine and other platforms. Please contact our tech support team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to get your account enabled with the advanced plug-in.

One of the important step to know is that apparently Mac may need a reboot after Adobe Air install. Please reboot your Mac if you haven't done so

I appear to have the same problems as described here. 2.1 sub plugin works fine under win7 on my PC, but hangs on my macbook running Snow Leopard.

has there been any progress in finding a solution? i'm happy to try test versions of the plugins and post back debug output if need be.

thanks.

Hello Ben,

We've worked out a solution already last week. The reason being Adobe pushed a new release of Air which broke some controls under Apple platforms. We're planning to keep debugging in house this week and release a new set of plug-ins for that fix middle of next week.

Stay tuned.
