I downloaded the new Device Console for my 2x4HD. It works great with one exception, auto discovery. For networks that we can't enable mDNS or we have a firewall enabled on devices we cant change policy on, is there a way to input an IP rather than rely upon auto discovery to find the device(s)?

Ideally, I would like to be able to add a device, input the IP manually, which would enable to bypass the either issue above that some are unable to modify to enable auto discovery on local networks.

In the old plug-in, you could check the box for auto discovery, or manually input an IP so I was a little confused not seeing that option with the new Device Console.

Just to reiterate, auto discovery works great and fast on open networks on devices that are not hampered by firewall rules. However, for anyone on a restricted network either by policy or say ISP provided hardware where you have limited controls, this makes the new Device Console unusable.

I have exactly the same problem, please add feature to input IP manually!

If there is a way that doesn’t require a code change and release by simply modifying an xml or plist file, that would be great as well. For future use, I do think this is a great user story to integrate into the app’s roadmap.

Again, loving the new app, the ability to rename presets, manage multiple devices better, etc!

Well shoot. I was hoping there was at least an easy manual fix for this issue. Guess not :/ .

I suspect there may be some confusion over possible functionality here. The IP address part is only relevant for anyone using a WI-DG. For everyone else connection is still via USB only just as it was with the older plugin software.
