Hi!
I bought this used and I cannot see a way to download the software. It seems the old owner needs to transfer ownership or something?
In any case, I am ready to work on it today (only  day off from work this week) so if someone can provide a link to the software while I get the ownership part sorted out, that would be awesome.

Is there a way to avoid a situation like this when selling a MiniDsp product? 

Yes. Have the person buying set up an account.
Have the person selling contact support and ask them to transfer the license.

Certainly for Dirac Live products miniDSP actually explicitly advise that there is no need for the seller to do anything:

For such products ownership transfer is actually a very straightforward process. I'll admit I'm not totally sure what the situation is re transferring non-Dirac products but my guess is that it is similarly straightforward, unless you've had experience to the contrary? (I've had my 2x4 HD from new and haven't tried to sell it  .) 

I should have been clearer.. That was meant to be for the minidsp plugins.

Which is of course exactly what the OP is asking about . Just to confirm, do you have experience of a plugin transfer from a previous user to a new one based around the previous owner needing to contact miniDSP? As per my post above I've not been through this, and I can't find anything official specifically covering this?

Hi, yes I've bought new and used - my 88A for example. The plugin has to be made available in the user downloads and the seller contacted minidsp support to let them know I'd be requesting the plugin. Maybe if I'd contacted support with the units serial number, the plugin would also have simply been made available to me but that's not the way we went about it.
