If I have a Dirac full license and I’m looking at buying a Flex but curious if I need to buy the $200 add on given I’ve already paid for Dirac? 

edit:  the answer is yes. The license is unique to the device.

You can't transfer a licence from a different miniDSP product. If you're asking about a software/studio-based Dirac Live licence then this won't be compatible with the Flex.

I already own a full Dirac license from an AVR that I have.  I bought the full version.

So I need to buy an additional Dirac license for the MiniDSP as well?   Is it the $200 for teh MiniDSP license + the $350 that I already spent on Dirac?  Or if I already bought Dirac then I don't need a MiniDSP license?

Your current licence will be tied to your AVR and will not be transferrable to a miniDSP. 

The version on your AVR will also be different as it will be multi-channel versus the stereo version on the Flex.

Hi. I have a question about this and I think it's best not to open a new thread. I have a Dirac Live Stereo 2.0 license bought this year that I use as a VST plugin with JRiver. I am interested in miniDSP 2x4 HD, but I don't want to spend again on a redundant license. Can I use it with this miniDSP device? Thanks you.

Sorry but no, you can't transfer any existing Dirac Live licence for use with a miniDSP.
