Accidentally switched my 2x4HD to DDRC-24 in plugin

So i switched to DDRC-24 in software and now windows sees it as DDRC 2x4n instead of miniDSP 2x4HD. Audio still works but i can't connect to the dsp in the 2x4hd plugin anymore. How can i change back to 2x4HD?

Reinstall the 2x4 HD firmware.

Did reinstalling the Firmware work for you? I did the same and reinstalling the Firmware does not help.

So, I also accidentally pushed the same thing, but I had the DDRC-24 and "Switched to 2x4HD" took a while to realize I need to install to 2x4HD plugin to restore it back... 

So in your case you would now need to install DDRC-24 plugin to restore it back to 2x4HD.. This is kinda broken if you are just testing things and dont realize that you CANNOT revert it with the same plugin anymore.

Is there a way to get the DDRC-24 plugin without buying the Dirac upgrade? For the price I can just get a new 2x4HD, since I have no interest in Dirac.

Is there a way to get the DDRC-24 plugin without buying the Dirac upgrade? For the price I can just get a new 2x4HD, since I have no interest in Dirac.

The only reason to use the DDRC-24 plugin is to use Dirac Live though. You'd lose some of the 2x4 HD's functionality if you used the DDRC-24 plugin (if indeed it's even possible in your situation).

If you contact miniDSP support via the link at the top of the page I'm sure they'll be able to solve whatever your issue is.
