I did run miniDSP and room correction software recently - and I might run it again in a few months; but I do not need MiniDSP software taskbar icon running every single time I turn on my laptop. The icon and program is driving me nuts - where can I disable the startup but not uninstall the software?

I'd question why this is somehow 'driving you nuts' - does it really cause an actual problem as it is? 

Looks like you're on the right track to try to resolve this yourself but you could contact miniDSP Support via the link at the top of the page too.

Control/shift/escape for Task Manager.
Select Startup tab.
Right click on miniDSP USB Audio......... and select Disable.
Restart computer.

If something like this is driving you nuts, you probably shouldn't use computers at all.

Ah, the name was a little off that's why I didn't find it on my first go around. "USB Audio Class Driver Control Panel."

And I'd like to add
I prefer to stay on top of my Notifications and Taskbar icons. Over time, doing little things here and there, running processes tend to pile up and drag the whole computer/phone down in performance. The reason many taskbar icons "drive me nuts" is because I feel like the more little things down there that I'm not actively using on a daily basis are a waste.
