Went to update my two 4x10's with firmware 2.7 and having an issue. First I upgraded to the current 2x8 plugin v1.13. I don't remember what the former version was, 1.7 rings a bell but regardless I uninstalled it first so I'm not sure. Anyway, upgrading firmware through the 2x8 plugin menu results in the error about device not being in bootloader mode. Found I need to press reset while applying power, I apparently get into bootloader mode as the source LED is off? But connecting to the device only results in failed attempts to connect messages. I did the reset/power cycle with the USB both connected and unconnected and this didn't change the outcome. Both 4x10's are behaving the same. Please help!

Power off.
Start 2x8 software plugin and select......Restore......Upgrade firmware. (The little utility box will appear but indicate device not detected.)
Hold reset button and power on.
The utility box should now indicate "device attached."

Proceed to load your new .HEX file.

Dave.

I notice with 2x8 v1.13 when I switch profiles the audio mutes? Is this the default now? Any way to change it? My primary use for the minidsp is designing loudspeakers where flipping instantly between different crossover variants is critical to the process.

I dunno. I haven't updated mine to the latest software/firmware.
One thing about the miniDSP products is you can always reverse any upgrade and fall back to a previous version, if you so choose.
