On my WinXP SP2 I can't install NET framework 3.5. Crossover plugin open up but during synchronization an error occurs:

Fault: [RPC Fault faultString="Invoke failed" faultCode="Aperture.Error.Invoke" faultDetail="Unspecified error"]

Do you know something about this error?

Jacek,

We've never seen this issue with installation of .Net framework not being able to install on WinSP2 platforms, so most likely a WinOS issue on your PC.
.NET framework being required, it doesn't surprise me that the plug-in wouldn't work without it.

Have a try at .NET v2.0 since it is sufficient. So if this version installs, that might be a work around.

Hope this helps

NET v.2.0 installed correctly but error didn't vanish. Maybe some services are switched off I'm not sure if this matter? On Win7 it works very well.

Have you tried to install v3.5 after installing v2.0? Still not able to install it?

That "may be" resolved by newer BIOS and/or chipset drivers for your PC.

What computer?

I'm afraid IBM Thinkpad S30 is no longer supported.

It seems power surge is when two ground pins are shorted but it is required for an external power supply.

Glad to hear this problem is solved! .NET v3.5 is indeed mandatory to make our plug-in work.
