Hi all. Old thread, but I have same issue. Just received new miniDSP 2x4HD. Pulled down the driver, plugin, and firmware tools. This is Win10, but tried two other Win11 laptops, same issue. Driver installs no problem from file miniDSP_UAC2_v4.82.0_2020-06-09_setup.exe. Device shows up in Device Manager as miniDSP 2x4n. Running the plugin, I get and accept the firewall prompt. Device firmware is 1.18 in the plugin. Running the firmware update utility (miniDSPUAC2Dfu.exe), shows "Device opened." Select the firmware (2x4HD_DDRC24_XMOS_v1.17_Up.bin), status shows "Ready for firmware update.". Click Start, shows "Entering upgrade mode...", device LED goes off, then on in a few seconds, device shows back up in Device Manager, but nothing happens. Wait 30 seconds, unplug USB, re-plug USB, and nothing happens. Eventually times out with:

TUSBAUDIO_GetDfuStatus: Function  failed with error code 0xEE000003.

Firmware upgrade failed!

Perhaps an older laptop will work? Try to dig one up. Any advise?

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.
You wrote firmware version of the device is 1.18 already.

The firmware you trying to Update ist 1.17 (see filename) and also its says DDRC24.
Are you trying to upgrade your 2x4hd to DDRC24?

So yes, 1.17 seems to be the latest downloadable, but 1.18 is on the device which means 1.18 is actually the latest?

I don't have a 2x4HD.
But yes maybe minidsp has a new firmware ready but not yet in the download section.
Could be they ship out new devices with the newest firmware.
