I did a search on the forum, but was unable to find the answer: is it possible to have 2 separate remote codes for powering on and powering off the SHD, in addition of power toggle? I looked at the command list for Harmony remotes, but can only see the power toggle command.

I looked at the remote codes, and it seems this is not supported. It will be good to add discrete remote codes for toggle commands (filter on/off, mute on/off, power on/off) so operating the SHD can be reliably automated with IR.

Can this feature request be considered to be included in a future firmware update?

I asked support this same question and was told there are no discrete power commands.  This is a major issue when using any kind of control system, be it a simple Harmony remote or something more sophisticated like Crestron.

I also request at least discrete power commands be added.

Even simple ir software, based on an Arduino, keeps track of the sended codes. Toggle codes are only a problem for inadequate software, or the use of it.

That's nonsense. For a toggle switch you only need ONE code. Maybe there was or is a reason for that.
Not enough codes available on the device or remote or whatever.

I strongly disagree. A lot of things can go wrong with IR commands, such as command not received because there's too much light or someone/something passes in front of the receiver. And as there is no possible feedback from the device, it is not possible to reliably know what the current state is. If all major AV hardware manufacturers are implementing discrete commands, there must be for a reason.

That said, I can understand hardware/software limitations for the SHD, but it will be good to get a confirmation from the team.

Just kidding.
I just wanted to state that there is probably a good reason why there are no seperate codes for all functions.

Of course seperate On/Off codes would be helpful.
