TOPIC: How to link SHD to MyVolumio premium account?

How to link SHD to MyVolumio premium account? 1 month 1 week ago #54465

Hello!

I'm on a free trial of the MyVolumio premium/paid account, but can't seem to find a way to activate the SHD. Volumio manauls says to login to the account on the device. But I can't find anywhere in the SHD volumio UI to logout or in?

I'm mainly interested in being able to use Tidal connect when that volumio feature is released (Q2 apparently).

Cheers

Any help welcome thanks.

I don’t think Premium exists on the SHD series because we have a unique implementation of Volumio and we already have the major premium features like Tidal/Quboz integration.

As for Tidal Connect, we have no choice but to wait for 1) it to be supported by Volumio, and 2) for Volumio + miniDSP + potentially the enthusiast community to add that natively or via a plugin (like Spotify Connect) to our unique Volumio build.

I’m not too pessimistic about that. We got the new Volumio UI pretty quickly. I bet the major hurdle is the work Volumio is doing now to get the code done and get certified with Tidal.

Right gotcha. I did wonder what MyVolumio achieved as tidal seemed to work already. Fingers crossed development goes well. It will be a much better experience (for me anyway!).

I'm quietly hoping they might do a first MQA unfold at the same time, might be wishful thinking though!
