I've been listening to my 3 week old SHD Studio with wonderful results but today, for the first time, I get momentary cutouts of sound (less than 1 second each) during songs. No noise, just the absence of any sound. Again, this just started today. I upgraded my MacOS to 11.1 yesterday. Could that be it? I don't think so, because when I run the system without the SHD Studio in the chain, it all works great.

I'm not sure if I'm running the latest firmware on the SHD Studio as I read in another thread, that the firmware was just updated. How do I check that?

Can you try another USB port of the macbook? Or another USB cable (but if it has worked before, I do not think that this is the problem.) Gert

Champster Offline Senior Boarder Posts: 53 Thank you received: 2 Karma: 0	I think I solved it. Maybe too soon to be conclusive, but I was using a 15’ USB cable and switched to a 6’ cable and now (so far) it seems to be working wonderfully. Fingers crossed.... Paul
