So I have the SHD setup and loving it so far, only I'm running into one issue: Apparently the integrated Netflix app on my TV does not follow my TV settings. I have a Panasonic 55CX800 set to output PCM audio via TOSLINK to my SHD. This all works well for pc->tv->shd, tv->shd and other apps->shd. Whenever I use the netflix app however it sends a dolby digital signal to the SHD (does not matter if i choose a stereo audio stream or 5.1 stream or whatever within netflix). I therefore do not get any audio output when trying to view netflix via my TV. I've googled around and this seems to be a common issue that i doubt will be fixed any time soon.

There are a few options such as a chromecast or using my htpc to watch netflix, but I'd like to keep the number of devices to a minimum and I guess you get used to that big netflix button on the remote actually providing you netflix content. I have come across the following product. I was wondering if any of you have experience with something like this that takes an ARC signal and downmixes it to stereo to give it to my shd. I wonder what it would do to the audio quality (would it decode it better or worse than my TV is now doing?). I am a bit hesitant to add this possibly dodgy product to an otherwise relatively expensive audio chain :P
