Hi. I'm just looking to do a super basic task, and due to so many millions of options, I'm stumped and looking for some guidance please.
Goal:
Measure small speaker's frequency response with UMIK-1.
Source of sound is from the speaker's device, not connected to REW or computer.
I would just like to nullify the room's signature, record the speaker doing pink noise (from its external sound source), and map it on a freq response RTA graph.

Basically just SIM the room and account for it so it doesn't influence the speaker's output on the RTA.
Help? Thanks.

Bumping this... hoping there's an easy obvious thing I'm missing.
Thanks.

AFAIK, one solution is a windowed measure. It does not work for low frequencies but works for high frequencies.
The time window has to be chosen small enough to not have any reflections from any surface come back.

This is probably not an optimal resource because it is in German... the REW settings are easy to follow though:

The OP can't use windowed (gated) measurements since they appaenlty can't use REW to produce the signals sent to the speakers. Even if they could though, windowed measurements would actual achieve the opposite of wha they were after if I've understood correctly. The point of windowed measurements is to exclude the contribution from room boundary reflections, to measure the direct output of a loudspeaker.

Are you not able to connect an analogue output from a computer to your amp (or speakers if active)?

Correct, there's no input on the device.
Thanks for the replies.
I made it work using the RTA window and screen capturing.
