I’m trying REW for the 1st time. I’m using a Umik 1 to measure my two subs. I was able to measure my 1st sub with no issues, but when I turned off my sub 1 output and turned on sub 2 output via MiniDSP I don’t hear anything coming from sub 2,. I do see the meter fluctuating to around 56dBFs on Output 2. So I am getting signal, just no sound.

I’m not sure if it’s a “settings within my processor”, “MiniDSP”, or “REW” issue.

Here’s a list of things I’ve checked so far.

-It’s powered on
-There’s no PEQ, and the Xover is bypassed on all channels in the MiniDSP.
-My input is set to “Analog”
-Nothing is muted in MiniDSP or my laptop
-My crossover for my mains in the processor is set at 250
-Audyssee has been turned off

I have one RCA cable coming from my sub out on my processor to my input on the MiniDSP and two RCA cables coming from the MiniDSP to my subs.

The processor I have is a Marantz 8805. It has two sub outs with independent delay, but I am only utilizing one output. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I should check next?

Do you definitely have your cable connected to output 2?

My processor has XLR, but the MiniDSP 2x4HD has RCA input and outputs. I’m using XLR to RCA cables for all the connections. I checked the connections, I even swapped around the XLR to RCA cables on both outputs and still don’t get any sound from output 2, but still have signal on the meter. I even checked to make sure my 2nd sub’s cable was good. I was able to get a test tone to my 2nd sub via my processor.

I was asking about the Output connection. The one between your miniDSP and sub. Is this definitely connected to Output 2?

And to check is it definitely output 2 you're seeing the signal bar moving on and not input 2?
If it is then the most common thing that might cause what you're experiencing is a high pass filter being active. I know you said the crossover was bypassed but check. Is the crossover graph a horizontal line?

For testing you could just use the signal generator in REW by the way, rather than trying to make a measurement.

Yes it is output 2 meter that has signal from input 1 signal meter but no sound. I checked and ensured that there was no PEQ and Xover was bypassed for all the outputs. The line is flat. I’ve been using the tone generator from REW to check.
