If you are only doing minimum-phase correction you will get better results by settings centering entry to "0" or "left"

" Some of our customer do not use FIR on all 4 ch. They may use 2048 on 2ch = 4096 and be completely fine. If you want to get more "Taps available" you just need to set to 0 the other FIR banks. it's a "pool of FIR taps".
Can we work on specifics please on this.
1)2x4 HD software was set to factory defaults
2) rePhase was set to 2048 Tabs ( please take a look to post 24)
3) During loading bin file from rePhase with 2048 tabs to one channel , 2x4 HD software gives mistake message and don't load file.
Know: "Taps available" you just need to set to 0 the other FIR banks. it's a "pool of FIR taps".
1) To set 0 where, In 2x4HD software in manual FIR mode ?
2) Export from rePhase software result as a text file and ad 0 in text file and then to do FIR manual mode in 2x4 HD software ?
Would you please specify how to do that.

Thanks

This link is not an official documentation but an application note written by minidsp.

"Middle" centering is a good choice most of the time and avoids delay problems between different impulses when the same number of taps is used. It is the "least surprise" choice and is the default setting for that reason.
In most cases however "energy" centering will give better results (ie better use of a given number of taps) but will require special care when centering different channels. Manually setting the centering value (in %, ms, or samples) is also possible and will give even better results when the user knows what he is doing. That is why I recommended the "0" setting in your specific case (only minimum-phase settings, replicating an IIR filter), but you are free to do otherwise.

As a side note, I do not recommend to use the "int" centering setting as shown in the application note (which is equivalent to "round to closest sample" in current rephase versions), but to always use the "float" setting ("use closest perfect impulse" in current version, and the default value), unless you *really* need a centering precision of less than 1/2 sample (hint: 1/2 sample at 48kHz is equivalent to 3.5mm)

Thank you for response.
Such explanation as yours is just exemplary . This is a way to explain and learn from it. Thank you.
About that 0... Does this mean to leave blank field in centering function tab?

So it is full RESPECT and huge THANKS to all members of this forum participating.
Have no idea how Administrator understood differentially.
Know to business : " If you want to get more "Taps available" you just need to set to 0 the other FIR banks. it's a "pool of FIR taps".
How to do that ?

I would refer you back to post #32059.
Further, if required, have a look at Section 6.5.1 FIR filtering overview in the 2x4 HD manual.
You change the number of taps available to each channel by setting the value of the 'Taps Used' input field.
The read only field 'Taps Available' will display the number of taps available from the units pool of taps.

By default each channel will have 1024 taps and the 'Taps Available' value will be zero.
To allocate 2048 taps to a channel, you would first have to free up 1024 taps to the pool from the other channels. An example would be to set one channel to use zero taps.

gin, leaving the centering entry blank will go back to the default value "middle".

Ideally you would want to set it to 0 ("0" as in 0 samples, or "0%", or "0ms", or even "left") with minimum-phase corrections as the impulse is causal (nothing on the left side of the peak).
But due to calculation errors during the ifft process it is always better to keep a few samples on the left side, meaning you will probably be better with a small percentage value like "1%" or "10%"...

Anyways just try different values and see it the resulting curves get closer to the target (preferably with the measurement bypassed)

Thank you,
For me is leaning process and any informative input deeply appreciated. Takes a little time to work out yours and pos given information.
Mine goal to get as perfect sound reproduction as possible this means nail FIR filters to wall and learn everything about it and get the close to the target microphone reading curve.
Right know I'm about to finish other speaker set ala LX mini but with 8 inch driver for bass-mid-bass and Alpair 7A from Mark Audio as a full range.
