Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered before but I just couldn't find it.

What is the internal precision of the miniSHARC?

  • 32bit IEEE floating point
  • 32bit IEEE floating point with 40bit internal processing
  • 32bit fixed point

As you all know precision is a function of both the filter structure used and the precision of the chip itself.

/K

Well, it's a floating point processor...

Not sure about more than that though.. perhaps it would help if you provided some information on why the question is important?

It's 32bit Floating point. You can read the datasheet of the device ADSP21369 if you want to learn more.
