I'm interested in purchasing one of the OpenDRC-DA8's for the FIR capability but it only has one coax input. I would like to have at least: switchable Coax, USB, and Analog inputs.

I happened upon this thread that describes adding an AN-FP to this module but the AN-FP is no longer available that I can see. I know there's an external USB to optical converter offered but the DA8 doesn't have optical in, and that's not switchable anyway (still just one input).

So I guess the question is, is there a reasonable option for a switch that would output coax but have inputs for coax, USB (computer audio), and also an ADC for analog input? Or is there an option that I'm missing on the miniDSP site? (Also, I'm handy with an iron)

Thanks so much

Ok, it seems the 2x4 HD also has FIR capabilities and has analog, USB, and Toslink (SPDIF to Toslink converters can be easily found on Amazon). The only products mentioned on the FIR vs IIR page are the OpenDRC's and miniSHARC so I (incorrectly) assumed the miniDSP's did not have the ability.

As it says at the bottom of the page:

Looking for an Audio processor with FIR or IIR support?
Check out the OpenDRC series (FIR) or miniDSP series (IIR) @ miniDSP.com

What is it that you are going to use the FIR for?
I am not miniDSP support.

I want to use the miniDSP for a crossover for a mid/tweeter... biamping. I'm interested in the zero-phase concept.

2x4 HD will work well for that.

Hi,
The device you're looking for exists. It is based on the minisharc kit in an SHD like box including powersupply, lots of inputs, a graphical screen, excellent DACs. You can find it here :
