Hi all,
I don't have the OPENDRC-DA8 yet so I cannot test it : I would like to have an output with (L minus R) or (R minus L).
I see that I can invert polarity on output but I need to invert one channel before or at LR mixing stage.
Any possibility ?
Thanks for ideas.

@JLO

unfortunately, this unit doesn't have this cability. only the CDSP has a matrix doing it.
Few ways you can do it.
- Invert the phase on one output and just mix it manually
- invert the phase of say the Right input (e.g. using a biquad on input section) then you invert it back for the normal Right with the invert button. Just route the matrix mixer L to Left out, R (not -R before the matrix mixer) to the Right OUT + invert button = R, mix L-R together to your rear out.

Does this make any sense?

Thanks DevTeam but as I need to have a kind of M/S matrix ie (L+R) on one output and (L-R) on another one, so doing the polarity inversion with a biquad at input is not a solution.
A possibility would be use ie miniDSP 4x10HD, to physically put in parallel digital inputs, and invert second input with biquad.
But it seems that both spdif inputs cannot be used at same time :(

@ jlo

well in that case, you'd want to use the CDSP8x12, it does exactly what you need. :-)
Or you just do the trick we just suggested for (L-R) which was your initial question.. ;-) and then for L+R, just link L&R together with a cable. That's L&R. :-)

Cool, I didn't look at this processor !

Does it also have FIR capabilities ? It is indicated "IIR/FIR depending on plugin" in the specification page but nothing about FIR in the user manual.
Forget this question : I've seen the answer in another related topic.
