I am building a system that incorporates a DRC-DA8 with Icematch power supply and amps for a 2.1 system. The Icematch ICEpower400SM power supply is equipped with a separate 5V standby converter to supply external control circuitry. This output can supply up to 200mA
in standby mode and 1.2A when the main SMPS is on. I would like to use this power supply to run the DRC-DA8. Is the standby current enough to keep the device working? Once a signal is sensed the 1.2A is available, or do I need to incorporate another Power supply to drive the DSP ?

No, that would not be sufficient.

The OpenDRC-DA8 unit requires approximately 400mA and is designed for always-on usage 24/7. With the supplied SMPS power supply you consume only a few watts.

As already very correctly answered by Dave, you'd need to use a higher supply. You can get more juice from other pins of the Icematch. You just need to drop the level down with a DC-DC.
