In the nanoAVR DL are all of the channels optimized to target curve at the same time, or must they be done individually? If they are done individually, are they saved to the same filter set automatically? Since the subwoofer would use a different target curve, must it be optimized separately? The manual is not clear on how this is done. I'm just trying to clear up any questions before my unit arrives.

Thanks

Clicking on the Optimize button generates correction filters for all channels. Then you use the Export screen to drop them onto a preset (1-4).

Thanks for all of your help. With your replies and me digging deeper into the manual, the logic of this system is starting to make sense. My next goal is to master creating custom target curves. From reading the articles and tutorials on the Minidsp website and my knowledge of audio theory, it doesn't seem to be that difficult. Thanks again for all of your input.

No problem :) I suppose the key thing is to work a bit on the target curves (and possibly measurement positions) if it's not right at first. I'm happy with the default curves except for the center which I give a bit of a presence boost at 5kHz and take out some chestiness < 200 Hz. But it's system (and listener) dependent.
