TOPIC:

Two quick questions: 

1) Does it matter what type of pre-amp is feeding the 2x4HD? My logic tells me that since the 2x4 HD is downstream from the pre-amp in the signal, the DAC in the 2x4 HD would supersede the signal from the pre-amp's DAC. Is that how it works, or no? 

2) Is it ideal to feed the 2x4 HD via the digital ins (usb, coaxial, optical) as opposed to the analog ins? Is the signal higher quality that way? 

1) yes, that's how it works
2) yes

2)b) except I’m not sure the USB is an input. Double check the manual. 

The USB is an input on the 2x4 HD and DDRC24.
