I would like to build this:

ER18DXT

From what I understand I would need
1 minidsp
1 plugin 2 way advanced

I'm quite new to this stuff...Is there any tutorial on how "translate" the passive crossover in digital?
Thanks

Hello,

Indeed you're correct with your configuration. 1 miniDSP kit + 1 x 2way advanced plug-in is all your need. :-)

As for building the same filter in minidsp, note the section mentioning that these are first order filters. You could either try to run the system through a software like SpectrumLab or other transfer function to try to get the exact same graph. You'll find that most likely, the choice of 1st order was a compromise for the user since going higher order with passive crossover isn't as easy...

Have a try at it, you'll find it quite easy to reproduce the same specs, if not better knowing that you'll have PEQ + time alignment to the rescue.

Hope this helps,

Hello zenith
I just want to quote the devteam's

"Have a try at it, you'll find it quite easy to reproduce the same specs, if not better knowing that you'll have PEQ + time alignment to the rescue."

By doing this beside measuring: TRUST YOUR EARS AND TRY DIFFERENT SPECS.
