Hello.
I´m planning to buy the minidsp and want to use i as an 2 way active crossover for my front speakers high/low,and i also want to use it with a subwoofer or maybe two.
As far as i understand i must have two minidsp kit´s or boxes.
But what plugin are i going to use,is it enough with the stereo 3/4 way?
Or must i use both 2 way and 2 way + sub?

I do this with two miniDSPs. One is for the R/L, and the other is for the Center and for sub equalization and crossover tweaking. I have the 2 way advanced. The advanced version can import from REW which makes it exceptionally versatile. I don't use the 4 way advanced because I use the bass management in my pre/pro. It does a great job at this. The subwoofer output of my pre/pro is fed to one input of the miniDSP and is divided into two channels and the sub channels are equalized independently so its almost like having stereo sub woofer channels. Then its fed to two channels of amplification.

Hello,

You can indeed use the miniDSP in 2 configuration:
Config#1 as suggested by Theresa
- 1 x miniDSP for L&R 2 way (using 2 x inputs L&R, 4 outputs to your Low,Mids)
- 1 x miniDSP for the subs.
Using 2way Advanced for both configuration

Config#2
- 1 x miniDSP kit as Left Low, high, Sub
- 1 x minDSP kit as Right low, high, sub
Using 4way advanced if you don't already have a sub signal (e.g. from your receiver) or 2way advanced otherwise.

Hoping this info helps
