I'm seriously considering purchasing a DDRC-22D to perform room correction on my DIY corner horn loaded 15" Radian 5215Be's. I have a Dac/Pre that allows for MQA unfolding and I stream Tidal. My setup will look like the following:

Digital Source -> DDRC-22D -> Dac/Pre -> Amplifier -> Passive XO -> Speaker

My questions is, will the DDRC-22D allow for the MQA metadata to be passed through to the DAC for unfolding? The MQA unfolding does not happen until it reaches a component that can read it and i believe it passes everything through at 44.1khz (i think). If anyone has experience with this I'd greatly appreciate your feedback and impressions. Trying to get into room correction for my stereo system without dropping thousands on a DEQX system.

Edit: MQA file is output as a 96kHz/24-bit stream

@ Justauby

We're not too knowledgeable on MQA but from our understanding, it's not a PCM format, i.e. it won't work fed into the DDRC_22.
Could be wrong though and maybe some DDRC customers can attest.

"Rather than being a new file type to sit alongside FLAC, WAV et al, MQA files will instead be packaged inside any lossless container such as FLAC, WAV or Apple Lossless."

The above quote would suggest that MQA encoded files will be accepted by MiniDSP devices, i.e. they are PCM.
However, to preserve the MQA encode, the file must be passed through to the DAC without change , which negates the purpose of the DDRC.

Great info @ Alandbush!
If they can't be modified that would indeed negate the purpose for DDRC.. :-)
