Hi there! I am new to this product line and the number of products are a little overwhelming. :-) I am looking for a rack units with 6 or 8 digital inputs and outputs in the AES format (that may be XLR or Sub-D). Inside the unit I need to be able to EQ each channel separately and possibly delay some channels. Could someone point me to the product I need to look in? It is important to me, that there is no DA/AD conversion going on, as I want to avoid any unnecessary conversion. I have a high quality conversion in my Crookwood monitor controller, which will be the last piece of equipment in my chain before the active monitors (ADAM S3x Vs and Adam Subs). This is not for Hifi, but a professional studio with 5.1 surround using two subwoofers. The purpose of those eqs will be room correction (treatment is already done, but some slight correction is needed, as I have a small room). My acoustician will advise me on the settings gathered from REW measurements, so I will need not auto correction or measuring equipment. However, he could only point me to Behringer units in this price range. There is a 300$ unit from behringer which provides only 2 AES digital I/Os, so I would have to buy three or possibly 4 units of those to get all channels eq'ed. Not to bad price-wise, but I would much prefer a single rack unit. Thank you for any hints!

Hello Friflo

I'm afraid that we don't have such box in our line up with 6-8 IO over AES.. :-( That's a specific requirement to do AES IN/OUT in multichannel.. Only the OpenDRC-DI/DDRC-22D would have similar setup as AES-EBU in/out.

Thanks for the reply! So, the Open DRC-DI is the only option with AES I/O? Would it be possible to build (without to much effort) an 6-8 channel unit with the DIY kits you offer?
Otherwise, what about latency? Since there is no conversion included it should be low, but are there any numbers?

@ FriFlo

If you're patient a bit.. You might be able to find something useful for your application early next year. :-)
Stay tuned.
