TOPIC: MCHStreamer and GSM Module Gemalto EHS6-T

MCHStreamer and GSM Module Gemalto EHS6-T 5 months 2 weeks ago #47573

Hi everyone.

I refer you to ask about a project I have with a Gemalto EHS6-T GSM module. I am using Python to automate calls and SMS messaging, my goal is to play a pre-recorded audio on calls and to be heard on the destination phone, also I want to record the entire call between the parties in the PC.

The EHS6 module has a digital audio interface (DAI) that receives audio through PCM and I2S. So I am considering this option to output and receive audio on the PC.

So I have the following questions:
1. The Gemalto GSM module only supports the following sampling rates: 8KHz and 16KHz at 16 bits. Does this device support that sampling rates?
2. In the datasheet of the MCHStreamer it says that only support 24/32 bits per sample for I2S input, but the GSM Module Gemalto only have 16 bits per sample in output. Is this a problem?
3. Is the I2S input of this device recognized as a microphone on the PC? Or how I can record the I2S input as an audio file? This in order to record the audio of the call in the operating system.
4. Is it configurable between slave and master for I2S communication?
5. Is there anyone who has made a similar system or used this device for similar functions who can guide me or tell me about their experience?
