Hello All,
First time i published on this forum; but i read a lot of intersting topics !
This is my current configuration:
onkyo TX-RZ810 in 7.1 configuration whith:
4 passive surrounds (KCS SR10),
2 active front speakers managed by minidsp 2x4,
1 active center speaker managed by half minidsp 2x4,
2 active sub managed by half minidsp 2x4,
I attached a picture as it's really easier to understand..
As you can see, my setup is using analog connection between AVR and  minidsp.. and that's what i would like to avoid. What i would like to do is to pick up I2S signal for fronts + cent + sub inside the AVR and input them in the mini dsp.
Having a look into the schema of the RZ810, it's using a 8ch. DAC (AK4458).
So basically, i need to parse 8ch to get to I2S  stereo flow (frontL + FrontR, Center + Subwoofer).
Inpt each I2S in minidsp.
Does anyone already tried this configuration ?
