Hi friends,

Is there a way of using two-way active/powered bookshelf speakers with a soundbar and sub for a kick ass soundstage for home theater? My room isn't great for surrounds and I'm wondering if this type of setup would be better than relying on the room calibration that came with my soundbar. It would be great if I could use the HDMI out from the TV into a miniDSP (or the soundbar?) since my PS4 is also connected to the TV.

Setup:
- TV: LG C9
- Soundbar: Yamaha YSP-5600
- Active speakers: Edifier S3000 Pro
- Sub: SVS SB-16
- Gaming: PS4
(no AVR)

Looking for:
- Dirac Live
- Wider, more engulfing sound stage
- Bass management
- HDMI connection to TV (2.1 preferred)

I suspect your best option would be to use your Edifier speakers instead of you soundbar rather than trying to use all three together.

Which minidsp would you recommend for the 2.1 setup (+Dirac Live)?
