While I wouldn't expect this amp to compete with amps rated at a true 100 watts, was there a conservative approach to rating the output wattage of the Miniamps?

Let's just say if comparing this to a Tripath TA2020 is fair as far as comparable output is concerned since many products out there use this chipset like the Sonic Impact portable amps.

Are there any commercial products out there that have the miniamp's chipset?

Maybe Sumoh (www.sumoh.com) have the same chipset, At least it's in the same powerrange.
