Hey All,
I did a search but couldn't find anything related to my issue.  I use my MiniDSP 2x4 Balanced in my PA rig. I mounted it in a 1U shelf with a face plate where I added XLR connectors. When I power on the rack either by just plugging in to the wall or turning on the power strip, the MiniDSP produces no sound, unless I unplug the power supply from the MiniDSP and plug it back in. While I have just done this as part of my power up sequence, its odd that I have to do that. Are there any fixes for this? The wall PSU is producing power so its not that.

Thanks.

Hi W,
It could be that the power amps and other EQ/Xover are on the same circuit as your HD.
Power amps do draw a lot of instantainous current when first powered up. This could cause a monementary volts drop at the HD plugin power supply causing it to not boot up correctly?

I would try turning off all the power amps power switches, then power up the power board that has your remaing HD and other signal processing equipment.
Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the reply. The only thing that turns on when I plug it in is the mixer, bluetooth receiver and the MiniDSP, so I don't think voltage drop is the issue. I have tested this with just the MiniDSP too (nothing else powering up at the same time) and it still happens.

I tested that with only the MiniDSP (nothing else was turned on at the time) and it still happened.  geometry dash scratch
