Hello,

I just started the MiniDSP software on my (week old) MiniDSP Flex Balanced.
The software notified me there was an update available, so I agreed to install (Xmos update).

I'm always careful with these kind of updates, so i waited.

It went to 53% in a blink of an eye, but now it's still at the same position and there seems to be nothing happening for quite some time now.

I don't want to interrupt the process, but I think it's stuck and possibly bricked, but I don't dare to touch the remote or buttons yet.

Any advise? Thanks!

After about an hour I was quite certain the update process was stalled.
I have restarted the Flex and it came back on.

Now when I connect again to the Flex I get an error message that I have XMOS version 1.26 and that I need 1.50 or above and that I cannot continue, the minimum XMOS version is not met.

I will now continue to try the DFU Tool mentioned.

Thank god, this worked. I upgraded succesfully, after restarting the MiniDSP software it got another update and now it's back online

It got very scary after the lockup, but glad ik restored back to working condition.
Maybe when someone else had problems they find this topic and see that it is fixable.

Strange thing is my Flex had a very old firmware, but when I checked the first time when it was new (a week ago) there were no updates available.

I am also having the same problem. How did you solve it? Is the upgrade auto-updated Tetris ?

Hello Nanisa,

I did solve it by switching the Flex off and on. It came back online with no problems. Then I reran the update and it succeeded.

I was very scared to ending up with a brick, but fortunately it didn't.
