Hi,

I am sure there is a solution already on this forum, but I've been unable to find it.  This is my signal path: Topping D90SE DAC > McIntosh C49 (16V output balanced) > DDRC88BM (8V input balanced / 8V output balanced) > 4 Hypex NC400 Amps (15V Input balanced).  From reading of the manual and various posts, it would seem the output/input differential between the DDRC88 and the amps is responsible for me hearing a lot of distortion - the signal is not rising significantly about the noise floor.  I saw someone's schematic on DIYaudio for a post DSP preamp - no thanks.  My question: Is there anything economical that can be done short of breaking out a soldering iron?  Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Peter

If you wish to communicate directly with miniDSP staff then doing so via the Support link at the top of the page is the best way to do so.
