Hey all,

relatively new to MiniDSP and somewhat new to digital audio as well. I’m utilizing the AES EBU I/O from my interface (RME Fireface UFX) into my MiniDSP 4x10 HD, and I’m getting intermittent clicking.

I have my interface correctly synced to the AES input (96k) so theoretically everything should check out just fine? Yet I’m still getting clicks and pops every now and again. Otherwise the audio sounds fantastic. Do you suppose it could be the cable?

Any suggestions as to what I can do to mitigate the clicks?

I switched over to the analog output from the RME into the analog inputs on the MiniDSP— same issue.

I have the sample rate set correctly, 96K, yet I’m still getting clicks and pops? Is this just a defective unit?? Surely there’s gotta be something going on that someone could help explain?

And now occasionally the unit spits out what sounds like a downsampled garbled mess for a few moments, then goes back to somewhat normal sounding albeit with clicks and pops.

This has gotta be a defective unit, what else could it be?
