Hi there, I need to splitt ballanced output signal from miniDSP2x8. There are Left and Rights outputs for my 4 ways speakers (Subwoofer, Woofer, Mid and Tweeter). Each subwoofer is W-frame with two drivers wired in parallel and feeded by one amplifer. Now i decided to feed each driver in W-frame by its own amplifer....... I think Y-cable is not good solution. Is this better solution and will this work without affecting sound quality? : www.thomann.de/cz/palmer_pls02_line_splitter.htm . If yes, Iam not sure with impedances ... is it ok?

miniDSP output impedance 560ohms each pin
palmer splitter output input impedances 600 ohms (i dont know each pin or tohether ???)
hypex amplifer UCD180 input impedance 100Kohm each pin to ground

A Y-cable is a perfectly good solution. There is no need to complicate your interface with an expensive line-splitter box.

Dave.
