Hey,

I'm trying to create a PC-based crossover using a USBStreamer and an external 8 channel DAC.

I would like to use FabFilter Q-2 equalizer plugin to specify the slopes and equalization options using linear phase. VST host I am using (Bidule) only allows using one full-duplex ASIO device, so to get the windows audio output to the USBStreamer input I'm trying to use the 9-10 TOSLINK channels as output, and loop it back into USBStreamer TOSLINK input using optical cable, and then do the routing per channel in the VST host to appropriate I2S outputs, which are then connected to the DAC.

For the life of me, I can't get this to work - I don't get anything on the Toslink inputs in VST host device however I configure this. Am I missing something? Is this something that is doable at all?

Any suggestions appreciated.

@phuqit

- We could be wrong but it sounds like a routing issue inside this ASIO configuration.
Toslink are on ch9&10. Sometimes we see customers not correctly routing audio to these..
- Also making sure that you're using the correct sample rate I guess..

We use loopback here in QC stage so we know it works fine.. :-)

Any chance you could explain how to do this for use with REW also. Do you think its possible to eliminate the external souncard which I only use with REW measurements because of the  loopback timing requirement. Ideally Id like to lose the soundcard completely, is this possible ?
heres a diagram of my setup -

If I connect the laptop to the USB streamer to bring up all the device options can I set things up with loopback in place ?
I will mess about with it later just after an opinion of someone more qualified. I did notice the two minidsp ASIO options in REW preferences just makes me think somehw its possible, obviosly I need a simple converter for the XLR mic,  Thanks
