From Musan,

I am trying to import .wav files exported from REW, into either FIR Designer or Averager but they do not import correctly. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I will appreciate it if you can advise me on the correct procedure.

I received your email. Thanks. Your measurement files are 131072 samples long and their IR peak is close to sample number 48000. (Ideally the IR peak should be very close to the start of the file.)

WAV files are loaded in two different ways. See
eclipseaudio.com/loudspeaker-measurements/

Since the filenames end with a number, the 1st way is used and only the first ~32768 samples of noise is being loaded from the IR. The IR peak at sample 48000 is being missed. (This assumes you have the FFT size set to 32768 in Preferences.)

If you rename the filenames to not end in a number, the second loading method will be used where the loading will look for the location of the IR peak and load samples starting from ~1500 samples before the peak. I just tested this again and it works.

Kind regards,
Michael
