Just a short note about my latest build:

For my home office I made a small miniDSP powered active subwoofer system from components I had in my parts bin. The woofer is a 6.5" in a 6 litre closed box. Since 6l are not enough (Q~1,2, Fs = 77Hz) I am using a linkwitz transform filter to EQ it to 45Hz with Q=0.6. I am crossing over at 100Hz with LR 24dB.
The sub and the speakers are powered by a 3ch amplifier using TDA7294 ICs. Since I don't need too much volume I am running the amplifier on +/- 24V which gives me roundabout 30W per channel. To avoid any turn on/off pop/surge noise I added muting relais at the output of the miniDSP.

Here are some pictures:

Have fun, Daniel

Neat pocket system indeed Daniel... If you have more spare in your parts bin and want to build us a little sub, please put me on the list! . :-)
It's great to once again see the miniDSP boards being reused for multiple applications, just load a new config and you're off to a new project!

Thanks for sharing Daniel,

DevTeam

PS: your great project made it to the gallery btw,,, :-)
