I made some changes and additions to this document so I thought I would post the link to the new document:

I developed this system by first measuring the performance of all components with regard to gain and clipping levels and then derived the equations to find any unknown gains to be set.  I understand that this became rather complex but I believe that this is necessary to make a system perform correctly.  The end result plots seem to confirm this and I believe that the sound of the system also shows the result of all of this effort.

There are more preamps available now that incorporate Dirac and this would have made the system simpler to implement but I believe that the MiniDSP hardware gives more capabilities and flexibility in implementing this system as well as the ability to properly setup multiple subwoofers.
