Hi

Has any by chance measured the actual latency of 88A vs 88D?

In the D, I assume some latency is added by double ASRC (both input and output are resampled). While in the 88A, the converters probably add a bit of latency. (Yes, we're talking <1ms probably, but for recording purposes I'm chasing the absolute minimum..

Same question goes for sound quality: which one has more impact on sound quality: double ASRC processing in the 88D vs the sound quality of the converters in the 88A?

Can't help with the "D" model but here are some measurements I did on the "A" model:

Analog input to output mean delay with Dirac off: 18.20msec. / with Dirac on but not programmed: 19.24msec.
Analog input to output jitter (1 sigma): 194.84nsec (bimodal)
Analog output 1 to output 2 jitter with both channels fed with the same signal (1 sigma): 19.55nsec. (gaussian)

I have the graphs for this if you are interested.

Steve
