This device is unusable. I attached a screenshot below of the bug. The master volume is stuck at -95db which breaks dirac as well as my actual computer volume. This is an unacceptable show stopper that should have been found by a tester in one of your test environments (if you even have one).

Not sure if this is related but if I run Dirac using my SHD the volume is also set to -95dB, which I believe this is a deliberate safety feature not a bug. The volume is set low so that when you start the volume calibration step you don't accidentally play anything too loud, which could potentially cause speaker damage.

Could you give a bit more info. on what steps you went through prior to the situation you described? Also, were you trying to change the volume with the remote control or by typing a different value into the plugin?

I am able to adjust the volume in the minidsp software if I click in it and manually type in a new value but the slider in the dirac software is not allowing me to change it. Also, it is causing mycpu is spike to 100% and freeze if I run a measurement with it being too low. Lots. Of. Bugs.

When the plugin is running this is the only thing that should be used to control volume. This isn't really a bug.

Could you give some more information on your other issue? I don't understand exactly what you mean.

Once I click on the dirac software I cant adjust the volume and it resets to -95db everytime. You think that is normal behavior? I'm not able to take measurements because it's too low and throws an error.

Once I enter the dirac software my CPU starts to spike at 100%.

Also once I receive a measurement error, I'm stuck with a spinner that never goes away. This product seems like a hot mess and not ready for production.

Also, its sets my computers global volume control to -95db as well. I have to quit both apps and start over to get my computer's volume back.

This product is a long way from being brand new and has many happy users. I'm pretty confident the issue here is how you are trying to use it.

Which version of Dirac are you using and how are you launching it? Is it Dirac measurements you're talking about? What happens when you do the Dirac volume calibration step?

Check the documentation for the DDRC-24, specifically the supplementary document I expect exists for Dirac V2 if you're using this. (There is for the SHD so I bet there is for the DDRC-24 but I can't check.)

What operating system are you using actually? If you have a Mac there can be issues with the latest one I think...

I've been in the development and design business for software for almost 20 years, just because it works on your developers machines doesn't mean the software is working correctly for everyone.

In the minidsp software circled above this is usually set to -95db - sometimes it is blank, leaving me no other option but to close out the app and start again. This is also affecting my entire computer. If it is set to -95db and the app becomes unresponsive or does not allow me to adjust it, my entire computer's volume is affected. This is WITHOUT launching the dirac software, it should always work 100% the same every single time.

Once going over to the dirac software by clicking the button inside the minidsp app (your directions) the slider is not allowing me to adjust the volume and I'm stuck at -95db. Also at this time my computer starts to spike at 100% cpu power off and on (never does this unless I'm using this app). Unplugging the usb to the minidsp helps sometimes - also quitting the app and restarting helps. I run development software that is very resource intensive and have never seen this behavior until now.

If I receive an error dialog inside the dirac app I get a infinite looping spinner, which at this point I need to close the app.

I'm using the latest versions of the minidsp software and dirac 2 per your instructions and read your manual. I'm on a windows 10 laptop - i5-8350U @1.7/1.9ghz - 16gb of ram.

I'm an end user like you. I don't work for miniDSP.

It does sound like you're seeing some unusual behaviour though so I'd suggest you contact miniDSP via the Support button at the top of the page to hopefully get this resolved.
