Greetings To All!
The recent purchase of the DDRC-22D has proved to be a an excellent value in a hi-end, computer-sourced, balanced, refined system.

My one major peeve is the built-in attenuator! Very frustrating to have my Antelope Zodiac Gold volume control necessitating a ramp-up to the -20dB to -14dB level (depending on the quality of the recording), and even more so when I wish to do critical listening at 83dB spl in a 99 cu. meter room with a 6m ceiling.

Is there a way to disable this nuisance?
Insofar as I NEVER listen at levels approximating "rock-concert" spl's, the attenuator would seemingly not be a requirement as far as clipping is concerned, with my Focal SM9's.

Regards.

@canoosa

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the DDRC-22D.
Few comments / We have 2 ways to attenuate the signal
a) The master volume control. You can read the value while connecting with the DDRC-22 utility. Make sure you set the master volume control to 0dB. There won't be
b) The default attenuation (required for headroom). It should be left circa -6dB for Dirac. It's best.

Most likely that you have your master volume control set for lower than full (e.g. could be low setting) hence the issue.
