I cannot upvote this enough.
We should not be whining about a new beta when everything is about to blow up over there.

Guys it’s not that we are asking them to release it. But we just appreciate a update. I understand they were not willing to give a definite date which is cool. But a short update every month or so on what’s happening would be appreciated.

Like I said they just messaged me and told me stay tuned for newsletter release and two ch devices will be up. . That was last week. With all the stuff happening in HK right now, I wouldn’t be surprised if the office is empty and the buildings closed when you have 15mlion ppl marching down your street.

And from anything mini has ever done in past it’s always the the quietest before a release anyway as so many things that you could possibly think of to keep them needlessly busy as result of , too much info at too close time for release. Meaning, unnecessary emails, from all kinds ppl , vendors , customers, you name it. So the silence to me means we’re getting close. (Speaking as someone in the industry)

I think once the rioting is over and things settle a bit we’ll see something happen. It’s comin gang.
And we will enjoy it ;)

Believe me I look at my downloads folder daily!

I also checked my downloads and it looks like a small bug-fix release was posted today for the SHD (Rev 1.7 / Aug 2019) but it does not yet seem to include the new Dirac 2 software.

Dear All

Thanks for your kind comments and patience. Just to make sure we reassure everybody, everything is fine in Hong Kong and for the whole team... We're surely getting a bit of heat on the news, but remember that sensationalism sells well for any large news network.. The situation isn't as dire as all network make it sound... Everybody still goes to work and we've indeed been very busy over here in the past few weeks, hence our radio silence...

For those of you interested, here is our latest newsletter.. As promised, we would release Dirac 2.0 when ready.. We now are! :-)

Have fun and hope you'll enjoy it!

I don't see the DDRC-88A in the 2.0 upgrade announcement, is there a reason for it?

Yay! Unfortunately, Dirac Live's website is unresponsive right now so can't download their side of the software!

Great news to hear you're all ok.

Damn! I have High Sierra, and no possibility right now of upgrading (very old macbook) to Mojave... downloaded DL 2.2.0 but when I click on the Start Dirac Live Software button in the DDRC-24 software nothing happens, just disconnects. And when I open the Dirac Live software the DDRC-24 doesn't appear as an option... will I need a Mojave capable machine or is there a way around for us High Sierra fellas?

I have DDRC-22. Trying to connect step by step but DLCT cannot find my device. Coz of Sierra?

Also the plugin window looks different on mac osx than on Windows?

Dear MiniDSP team,

First of all, great to hear everything is fine with you, in Hong Kong.
Thanks so much for the Dirac 2.0 update! B)

I tried to install and run it with my DDRC-24 on my iMac (2012, 27", Mojave 10.14.6 18G95). The plugin works and connects. Audio works too. But the DLCT cannot find the DDRC-24 (I started the DLCT from within the plugin and have done everything exactly as described in the new manual).

I then connected the DDRC-24 to my MacBook Pro (2015, 15", also Mojave 10.14.6 18G95). And there everything worked immediately, also the DLCT. Yay! But still not on my iMac, despite reboots and re-installs.

My first impressions about Dirac Live 2.0:
- A wider sweet spot, my quick guess is an improvement of 150% - 200% more width
- Even better focusing within the stereo image, and even better placement of all the details
- A little bit more sound effects coming virtually from behind the listening seat (I guess an improvement of about 10%), while playing music with out of phase effects (like Q-sound mastering does)
- To me it sounds slightly more natural, less busy, but that can also be the time of the day and how I feel

So, yes: Dirac 2.0 gives only improvements here, in my current setup (a fast and detailed Audionet system, with ceramic Accuton and ESS drivers). I can recommend it!
